Job Resources for Federal Government & Contractor Opportunities, Military Spouse Friendly Employers,
and WAH Opportunities
Federal employment is still well sought after in this day and age. It is great for those transitioning out of the military, are military affiliated (I’m talking to you military spouses), or those wanting to devote their careers to public service. Like the private sector, federal employment has something for everyone—the key is knowing where to look (and how to set your application apart).

Looking for a federal career in politics? You can find vacancy listings for both the Senate and House here and here respectively.
Federal Contract Jobs
Careers with federal contractors are great for those transitioning out of the military or anyone wanting to remain close to military and government operations in a civilian capacity. Those with previous military experience (including military spouses) will find that their experiences and insight will be sought after and appreciated. Government security clearances are a plus.
With that being said you may already be familiar with some of the large-scale federal government contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, and Raytheon. However there are thousands of career opportunities with smaller sized federal contractors that tend to get overlooked.
Please see below for a selective list of such contractors that may be of interest to you. I encourage you to review their websites and if you have any questions on any of them please let me know.
Military Spouses
Military spouses are some of the most unique job seekers out there because their work experiences tend to span various states (and countries) and their resumes may oftentimes include some gaps. This can sometimes invite bias into the hiring process with some employers because they may not care to hire someone they know will potentially leave them within a few years (their loss). If you, like me, identify as a mil-spouse you are exceedingly resilient and know you need to cast a wide net when it comes to landing the right career opportunity. Please see below for a select list of military spouse friendly employers.
